Freckles are the likeness of a fresh complexion. We have to slowly say goodbye to the summer temperatures, but we don't have to do without freckles. What if we want to keep our sun-kissed complexion? Or maybe you don't get any freckles in general, but have always wanted to try the look? Since it is precisely this summery look that has become more and more a trend in recent years, fortunately there are now some super easy ways to help a little and lend a hand yourself. I will explain the 5 easiest ways to you in more detail below.
Where do I apply fake freckles?
First of all, an important tip that you should keep in mind for all variants. Always wear the fake freckles in the area of the nose and the cheek area under the eyes. Scattered freckles can also be added on the chin and the central points of the forehead. Because only there do the real freckles usually appear and your result is a lot more natural.
1. The classic: eyebrow pencil
This product was one of the first to be misused and the reason for this is obvious: its brown color. A thinner eyebrow pencil such as the So Fine Brow Pencil from Makeup Obsession is best here. Use the thin tip to place small dots on different parts of your face. Make some points a little more intense than others, because real freckles are never all perfectly alike. If possible, use two slightly different colors and generally go for ashy tones that are a maximum of 2 shades darker than your skin tone. As soon as you have recorded all the points, you can gently work in the individual fake freckles with your finger or a small brush and blend them a little so that they fit better into your skin.
2. Bronzer & Brush
Also a very obvious product that is often used for fake freckles. The principle is very similar to our first variant. However, bronzer has the advantage that the fake freckles usually fit into your skin more easily and thus appear more natural. This is because the bronze color can also be found over a large area in other parts of your face. Powder products also give a blended and slightly translucent finish faster. For this variant, just pick up your favorite bronzer and use a very small brush to dab individual fake freckles on your face. Spread them out wildly and use different sizes. 3. Let powder fly
This method is definitely more for the experienced fake freckle wearers among us. And also only for those who like to clean their floor or table afterwards. However, the effort can really be worth it and the result can be seen! For this variant, scrape off the top layer of your favorite bronzer, for example with tweezers, and put it very finely on a piece of A4 paper. You can use any powdery bronzer as a bronzer - for example our all time favorite the Honolulu bronzer from w7! Now hold the paper with a little space over your face and tilt your head back slightly. Now you let the powder fall very gently onto your face. Work the small "spots" into your skin afterwards with your beautyblender and the fake freckles look is ready!
4. Eyeliner

5. Trick 17: self-tanner
The fake freckles look has become part of your daily routine or do you want to keep this summery look without make-up? Then self-tanner is the ideal solution! Unlike the other variants, we start here with our clean and clean face. Then simply apply some self-tanning mousse, for example from b.tan, to the face with a small brush and let the product dry. You can also use a toothbrush as you used to in art class and use it to splash the little dots on your face. With this method you will automatically get many different sized and randomly distributed freckles. Now you just let the product take effect as specified by the manufacturer and then rinse off the remaining residues!
