Cosmetic brushes are the ultimate tools for a perfect make-up, because without them a beautiful, streak-free make-up is almost impossible. But especially for beginners, the large selection of brushes can quickly become overwhelming. Finding the right cosmetic brush is then very difficult. Because there are many different types of brushes for face, eyes and lips. But which brush do you use for what and which one do you really need? If you ask yourself exactly these or similar questions, you should think about buying a brush set. So you have all the important brushes together and can try out the many different brush types. Besides, brush sets are also cheaper than single brushes. Makeup Revolution has many great brush sets in its assortment.

Which cosmetic brushes are the most important?

You carry the foundation at the beginning. To apply Foundation correctly there are different Foundation brushes. Depending on the foundation you need different brushes. For liquid foundation either a flat foundation brush or a Kabuki brush is used. Apply some foundation with your fingers and then spread it with a brush on your face. With the flat foundation brush you can spread the foundation in stroking movements, while with the kabuki brush you spread the foundation in circling movements all over your face. With both brushes you get the maximum coverage of your foundation. Cream or mousse foundation can also be beautifully veneered with these two brushes. This way you can quickly and easily achieve an even complexion, without any streaks or spots. Which brush you finally want to use is entirely up to you. For mineral and powder foundation, it is best to use a powder brush to distribute them evenly.

The best way to apply powder is to use a large, soft and fluffy powder brush from Revolution. With it you can spread powder quickly and evenly over the entire face. To avoid using too much product, it is best to tap the brush briefly before applying.

With Rouge, Bronzer & Highlighter it depends on their texture. For powder products there are specially shaped brushes for every application. For the application of rouge, a smaller powder brush is best suited, which can be round or pointed. With it you can apply the blush in a targeted manner to achieve a beautiful result. For bronzing or even contouring, a small, bevelled powder brush is best suited. With this brush you can also apply the bronzer in a targeted manner and create shadows exactly where you want them. The Highlighter is a little more special in application. It can be applied very well with a so called fan-brush, a very flat, widely spread brush. on the highest points of the face. With it, the highlighter can be optimally dosed, so that one does not apply too much highlighter at once. However, it can also be applied well with a fluffy eye brush (such as an aperture brush) or another small brush.

The classic Eyeshadow Brush is flat and relatively small, so that eye shadow can be applied very precisely to the eyelid. With it you can place the eyeshadow pretty accurately. Often these brushes are also slightly softer, which makes them also very suitable for coarsely blending the eyeshadow.

With the blend brush you can perfectly fade out the eye shadow and create beautiful transitions between the colours. The Aperture Brush is a fluffy brush that is very soft and pleasantly hugs the eye. Hard edges that may have been created can be perfectly rounded and blended, creating a beautiful flow of the eyeshadow. You can also use it to apply eye shadow over a large area of the entire eye or apply highlighter precisely on the cheeks.

With the Pencil Brush you can apply your eye shadow precisely and concentrated. It is ideal for emphasising the eye shadow crease and the lower lash line. Also in the inner corner of the eye you can apply eye shadow very precisely. This brush is also very well suited for a so-called Cut Crease Make-up. Here an extra sharp edge is left in the eyelid crease and the colours are not blended there. Eyeliner brushes, which you can use for your eyeliner line, are available in two versions. On the one hand there is the fineliner brush. This is a round, very thin, pointed brush with which you can draw very fine lines and an extremely precise eyeliner stroke.
