Which toner for which skin type?

For dry skin, use a toner that is gentle and moisturising. Ingredients such as aloe vera soothe and nourish the skin. It is important that the chosen toner does not contain alcohol, as this would dry out the skin too much. For normal skin, a neutral toner is recommended. For impure or oily skin there are also special toners which refine the skin texture and regulate the sebum production. However, these products for oily skin almost always contain alcohol, so you should always test whether your skin can tolerate the toner. The toner should always be the last step in cleaning your face. After the usual cleansing products, a good amount of toner is applied to a cotton wool pad and carefully spread over the face. Avoid the eyes and lips. Then apply serum, creams and oils as usual.
